Eagles cut Babin, place Jackson on IR

Eagles defensive end Jason Babin has been cut Tuesday afternoon. Babin has four sacks this season, but registered 18 last year en route to his second career pro bowl. This comes on the heels of a 7-game losing streak and the firing of two Eagles public relations directors. Also, DeSean Jackson has been placed on injured reserve after fracturing multiple ribs during Monday night’s loss to the Carolina Panthers. Jackson is the team’s leading receiver, with over 700 yards receiving this year.
